Mahindra Aerostructures inks multi-million dollar deal with Airbus Atlantic

Hyderabad: Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt Ltd (MASPL) has entered into a multi-year contract with Airbus Atlantic for the production and delivery of metallic components and small assemblies for Airbus commercial aircraft. The contract, valued at approximately $100 million, will see MASPL supplying nearly 2,300 varieties of metallic components to Airbus Atlantic in France from its manufacturing base in India. This contract complements MASPL's existing programs to deliver parts directly to Airbus facilities in France and Germany.
Airbus Atlantic's Chief Procurement Officer, José-Maria Trujillano, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, highlighting the benefits of MASPL's capabilities in strengthening their supply base and supporting production ramp-up for their programs. Meanwhile, Vinod Sahay, President Aerospace and Défense Mahindra Group, commented on the significance of this contract in expanding their relationship with Airbus Group, emphasizing the value they aim to bring in terms of industrial maturity, digitalization, performance, and sustainability.
MASPL has been a direct supplier to Airbus Group since 2015 and collaborates on various initiatives with Airbus. The company has achieved recognition as a D2P “Challenger” for three consecutive years in the Sheet Metal Parts domain, along with a level “A” rating in the Airbus Industrial Process Capability Assessment (IPCA+). Additionally, MASPL was awarded the “Best Performer” title in the 2023 Airbus Supplier Quality Improvement Program (SQIP) awards.
